Parking Concerns on Stagborough Way

Stourport Safer Neighbourhood Team attended Stagborough Way yesterday afternoon following reports from residents about unsafe and inconsiderate parking during school collection and drop‑off times. Residents told us that vehicles were putting children at risk and obstructing driveways. Our officers worked alongside Wyre Forest District Council enforcement officers, who have been patrolling the area throughout the week. Together, we spoke with residents, listened to their concerns, and assisted with parking matters raised on the day.

Someone Parking on Your Driveway

If a vehicle is parked on your driveway without your permission, this is considered trespassing. As trespass is a civil matter, it’s not something the police can deal with.
If the same person or vehicle does this repeatedly, you may wish to seek advice from Citizens Advice or speak to a solicitor. However, we always encourage starting with a polite conversation with the driver, as it may simply be a misunderstanding.

Someone Blocking Your Driveway

Unable to drive onto your driveway:
This is not a police matter. Your local council may be able to assist, although policies differ between authorities. Again, a polite word with the driver may resolve the issue quickly.

Unable to drive out of your driveway:
In these situations, the police may be able to help, as this can be treated as an obstruction. You can report online or via 101.

Illegal Parking

Report to the Police if a vehicle is parked:

on white zig‑zag lines

dangerously

in a way that blocks emergency vehicle access
These incidents can be reported to us online, via 101 or if you have footage use Operation Snap

Report to the Council if a vehicle is parked:

over a dropped kerb

in spaces reserved for Blue Badge holders, residents, or motorbikes (unless entitled)

in taxi bays, cycle lanes or on red lines

near a school entrance, bus stop or tram stop

on double yellow lines or on yellow zig-zags lines

Your local council will be the appropriate authority for these matters.
